On Monday the 24th of February 2020, Dr Chau Chak Wing visited The University of Sydney
to meet with Vice-Chancellor Dr Michael Spence and see the progress of the
Chau Chak Wing Museum, opening later this year.
Dr Chau Chak Wing has been a key supporter of this upcoming state-of-the-art museum,
with a generous donation to The University of Sydney in 2015. As the Nicholson Museum
closes today, the Chau Chak Wing Museum is set to feature its collection in a new,
dedicated space, alongside the Macleay and University Art collections.
He was accompanied on his tour of the museum site by Director of Sydney University Museums,
Dr David Ellis, Deputy Director of Sydney University Museums, Dr Paul Donnelly and
Vice Principal of External Relations, Tania Rhodes-Taylor.
Dr Chau Chak Wing was extremely pleased with the developments of the
Chau Chak Wing Museum and looks forward to seeing it in its full completion.
